The Welcome Church

The construction of a new auditorium on the grounds of an existing Church, as well as extensive refurbishment & remodelling of the existing Church, a large extension to the existing Church and all associated external works.
The Welcome Church is located in the centre of Woking and through fund raising this popular Church were able to embark on this ambitious project. The auditorium had a challenging acoustic specification, which ensures the sound is spectacular inside, whilst not allowing any noise to emanate outside to the local residents.
The new auditorium was constructed using a large steel frame with a contemporary aluminium standing seam metal roof which helped to create the impressive vaulted ceiling.
The existing Church underwent complete remodelling and refurbishment to ensure it blended seamlessly with the new auditorium. Although maintaining many existing features, the existing Church had a new heating system and new lighting and power throughout. As well as a large extension and new mezzanine flooring to create a modern office for the Church and break out space to cater for the various activities and groups hosted by the Church.
