Sports Pavilion
Epsom and Ewell High School
We secured the design and build package to build a new sports pavilion, as well as a full-size all-weather football pitch, a sprint track and two natural sports pitches. In addition, the works included the construction of an in-situ concrete footbridge, new statutory services to the building, a new sub-station, a storm water sewer diversion, significant drainage works, extensive external works and landscaping.
The pavilion incorporates a large clubhouse, changing facilities and WC’s. The clubhouse has been finished in timber cladding, whilst the changing block has been finished in a solid core cladding panel. These contrasting, yet complementary styles have created a striking design and contemporary feel.
The pavilion is located in a field adjacent to the main school site that can only be accessed via a public footpath. This presented some logistical challenges as all materials and plant crossed the public footpath to gain access to site. However, clear and organised planning ensured the works progressed smoothly and safely.
The successfully delivered project provides top class year-round sporting facilities which are a fantastic addition to the School.
